Wood switchplate covers from C&R Woodcrafters
maple, cherry, teak, birch, oak, etc. switchplates.

C&R Woodcrafters offers custom made wood switchplates. Choose from Maple, Birch, Cherry, Bamboo, Red Oak, Alder, Ash or several dozen other wood species. Switchplates can be made either unfinished or finished. Finish options include 20 popular Minwax® stain colors, clear coat finishes in satin, semi-gloss, or gloss sheens, or a tung oil finish. Phone jack, CAT5, and cable configurations will come with the jack hardware. Switchplates are made with a vertical running grain and can be made up to 8-banks wide in any cutout configuration you would like. There are also 4 specialized edge choices to select from. Standard size switchplate measurements:
All plates are 5" tall +/- 1/16", varies by edge selection.
Single gang plates are 3-1/8" wide, double-gang plates are 5" wide +/- 1/16",
triple gang plates are 7" wide +/- 1/16". Each gang width adds approx. 2" to the width of the plate.

Oversize plates are available:
If you need it a little larger, or even smaller, please let us know your overall dimensions. (width x height)

Pricing above does not include phone jacks, CAT5, or cable jacks. The following pricing is stanardized per plate and an add on cost to the grid above. The add on is per occurance within the plate for phone jacks, CAT5 jacks, or cable connectors. Thus if you have a combination plate with a phone jack and cable outlet, then that would add $11.00 to the plate cost. The breakdown of the hardware charges is directly below.

Adding individual phone jack, $6.00.
Adding individual CAT5 jack, $8.00.
Adding cable male to male connecting nub, $5.00.
If adding multiple jacks to the same plate, combine the prices above.
CAT5, phone jack, and cable nubs shown as backviews below.

Staining a plate in any of the 20 Minwax finishes:
adds $8.00 per plate to the unfinished wood price, no matter what gang size plate.
(Additionally, please note satin, semi-gloss, or gloss finish for the top coat over the stain. This is included in the $8 per plate cost.)

Clear coat finish and tung oil finishes:
adds $4.00 per plate to the unfinished wood price, no matter what size. (non-stained plates)
Please be certain to state "stain," "semi-gloss," or "gloss" for clear coat options. Or Tung Oil as your option.

Oversize plates:
(within size reason) are just $8.00 more per plate, no matter what number of gangs from single to 8-gang.
If the plate is excessively oversize, we will have to call C&R for a quotation.

All edge choices are priced the same. Edge choices are shown a little lower on this page.
Be certain to tell us which edge choice you would like on you switchplates.

EXOTIC WOOD CHOICES:
The wood choices listed directly below are considered special woods and carry a premium price upgrade of $9 per plate, no matter what size plate. Thus a triple size plate is $9 more or $23.95 + $9 = $32.95 each. A 6-gang plate would add $9 to the $49.25 unfinished price equaling 58.25 total. Finishing or hardware options are the same as above.
Oversize exotic wood choice plates carry an $16 "per plate" upcharge.

EDGE CHOICES:
Any plate can be ordered with any of the 4 available edges:
rounded, beaded, chamfered, or square.

The beaded plate will be sligthly thicker and then the cutouts will be recessed. It is a fancier plate. Your edge choice does not affect the price.

We will show 4 color images below to give you an example of each edge.

They will be shown in the same order as the black and white diagram to the left.

ORDERING INFORMATION:
For us to process your order accurately, this is the information we will need:

• Part number from above graphical configurations, such as W633 triple rocker
• Or list your special configuration, such as: 5-gang plate with toggle-toggle-GFI-GFI-cable jack.
• Please tell us the wood species you would like
• ***Please remember to select from one of the four edge choices when placing your order!
• State unfinished if you plan to finish yourself, or
• State your finish option: Minwax color # __________ (and then top coated satin, semi-gloss, or high gloss); or clear coated in satin, semi-gloss, or gloss; or tung oil finish
• If the plates are not standard sizes, please tell us the dimensions. Standard plate dimension shown at top of page.

If you would like to order ONE custom made knob, cabinet handle, switchplate, cabinet door, or anything else, Eclectic-ware has no minimum order. When you are not certain, it is best to order one or two first.
